If we haven’t met before, hi! I’m Madison! I’m one of the little elves that helps work on the Advent boxes year-round, but my job really kicks off when the calendar turns to December. That’s when the rest of the elves let me loose on this blog to regale you with tales, tidbits, and teehees about each day’s items . It’s genuinely one of my favorite projects to do every year, and I hope you enjoy reading these little entries as much as I enjoy writing them.
Today’s slot kicks off our 2025 Advent with a sweet little West Sixth IPA ornament + matching potable can, and our annual welcome note (if you’re here, you’ve probably read it—but if not, go back and take a peek!) . If you’ve never had a West Sixth IPA before, we envy you. We all wish we could try it again for the first time! If you have, then you know this is THE West Sixth beer.
Our India Pale Ale has Citrus as the obvious star. Over the backbone of bready malt and pine stickiness you will find notes of peaches, lemon zest, danky grassiness, pine needles, and tangerines. Each sip is followed by a dangerously drinkable amount of resinous glamour.
Chill it up and crack it open — best enjoyed while admiring your new mini-IPA ornament.
